In 2015, The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt was published. CD Projekt Red's most successful game with over 40 million copies sold, the game is a huge seller for the company. Despite the passage of more than seven years since its initial release, the game has a sizable fan base.

Since the game's debut, fans have created their own tributes to the legendary fantasy franchise. For example, one fan crafted a collection of swords that mirrored those from The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt. Other fans have depicted the creatures from the series in their own artwork. Others have chosen to tattoo designs from the series on their bodies for good.

Fans have previously had The Witcher tattooed on their arms, as evidenced by the above photo. While such symbols demonstrate devotion to the franchise, one fan went a step further. In a recent Reddit post, user Vortex60 unveiled his latest tattoo: it was of one of the game's possible antagonists, the Leshen.

The Leshen was first mentioned in The Witcher novels by Andrzej Sapkowski. They're mostly utilized as background information, and they're intended to add to the world's mystical and mysterious aspects. In the books themselves, Geralt never encounters one; however, they've been seen in both The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt and The Witcher Netflix series.

The Witcher 3 Leshens, on the other hand, seem to paint forest guardians in a more sinister light. During In The Heart of the Woods, gamers only come across one during the course of the quest. A Leshen is seen lurking in neighboring woods and has divided an island community. An elder from Skellige believes that it increases the strength of its people, whereas younger members want the beast destroyed. If Geralt sides with the younger settlements, he must find and kill the Leshen while deciding what to do with those infected by it.

A Lehen appears in the second season of The Witcher Netflix series, but it is called a Leshy. In the show, one of Geralt's pals and a fellow Witcher, Eskel, gets infected by the creature, resulting in his untimely death. Despite its foreboding context, nevertheless, one fan wants to obtain a lifelong memento of the memorable Witcher adversary.

The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is now available on PC, PS4, Switch, and Xbox One.
